Neysa, a generative AI startup, has raised $30 million in Series A funding, strengthening its position as a major AI infrastructure provider and bridging the digital divide in emerging markets. Co-led by NTTVC, Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India), and Nexus Venture Partners, this Series A round follows Neysa’s $20 million seed investment in April, marking two successful funding rounds within six months.

Neysa, co-founded by data center pioneer Sharad Sanghi and tech innovator Anindya Das, is dedicated to creating AI solutions that scale seamlessly across industries.

“This investment brings us closer to our vision of democratizing access to Generative AI (Gen AI )and AI solutions for organizations across the world,” said Sharad Sanghi, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Neysa.

Scaling AI Infrastructure to Support Emerging Markets

Neysa’s flagship platform, Neysa Velocis, launched in July 2024, aims to address the unique challenges organizations face in emerging markets like India. Neysa Velocis provides on-demand, high-performance computing infrastructure that empowers organizations across sectors, including BFSI, IT, and GCCs, to adopt generative AI capabilities cost-effectively.

This localized and scalable approach simplifies AI adoption for businesses of all sizes, enabling them to remain competitive in a global AI-driven economy. With this Series A funding, Neysa will expand its AI infrastructure and accelerate research and development for its Gen AI acceleration cloud service.

Avnish Bajaj, founder and managing director (MD) Z47, said, “Neysa finds itself in the enviable position of having more demand than any other company I have seen at a similar stage. It is a catalyst for digital transformation, not just an AI provider.”

Building a Generative AI Ecosystem with Strategic Partnerships

Beyond its technology, Neysa’s mission to democratize AI is bolstered by strategic partnerships with global system integrators, cloud providers, and AI-focused software companies.

These collaborations aim to bridge the digital divide, providing organizations with secure AI infrastructure across cloud and edge environments. Neysa plays an influential role in public discourse through its partnerships and involvement in government-led AI initiatives, shaping AI adoption and innovation across sectors.

“The team’s innovation and commitment to accelerating Gen AI solutions are significantly impacting the region’s tech ecosystem. We have seen firsthand how Sharad built India’s largest data center company from inception. His experience and track record are critical differentiators in building and scaling the next-generation Gen AI Cloud provider,” said Vab Goel, founding partner at NTTVC and Board Member of NTT DATA, Inc.

Strong Market Position Amidst India’s Rapid AI Growth

According to a recent Nasscom-BCG report, India’s AI market is projected to reach $17-22 billion by 2027, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25-35 percent. Neysa has already secured contracts with clients spanning AI-first startups, media, software vendors, and the public sector, underscoring its role in supporting this growth. With the new capital, Neysa has emerged as one of the top-funded early-stage AI startups in the country, ahead of competitors like Sarvam AI and Ema, who also recently closed substantial funding rounds.

By prioritizing emerging markets, Neysa is uniquely positioned to provide generative AI technology where it can have transformative impacts. The company’s consumption-based AI model allows organizations to explore, deploy, and manage generative AI projects seamlessly while maintaining secure environments.

Jishnu Bhattacharjee, MD, Nexus Venture Partners, said, “By building out AI-native compute infrastructure and making it easily and securely accessible, Neysa is accelerating the adoption of Gen AI by enterprises. We are thrilled to double down on our partnership with Sharad, Andy, and the team in their journey of building one of the most advanced AI Clouds in India for the world.”
