IndiaTechDesk caught up with Vikas Gupta, CEO and Co-founder of Promiso health, to understand how at-home care and digital health are shaping the health care industry in a post-pandemic India.

Promiso Health is a startup that provides digital-led health solutions for at-home care and the first mile for the B2B segments like Insurers, TPA, Corporates, Providers, Labs, Pharma, CRO and Aggregators.

The Healthtech startup is building an integrated healthcare API stack that would enable on-demand access for at-home diagnostics, comprehensive health checks, allied services in distributed clinical trials and remote monitoring.

Promiso enables the virtual full stack care model built on digital health workflows, advanced data analytics to address timely access, Turn Around Time, Quality controls, and ABDM compliant data structure for seamless integration with our partners.

Promiso is democratizing the critical digital-led first-mile care capabilities and fulfillment, which touches consumer experience, quality and timely access. Currently, the startup is present in 56+ cities and scaling to 100+ cities. Its expanded coverage in Tier 2/3/4 Cities with an expanded quality provider network is exciting for many of our customers.

Would you please briefly inform us of the specifics of the client base?

Promiso works with corporates, aggregators, insurers/TPA, Clinics/Hospitals, and Life sciences through B2B channels. We work with leading brands in each segment and power their tech-enabled fulfillment of various services.

How are your clients benefiting from your services? Would you please explain with an example?

Promiso platform enables various use cases for B2B clients like At Home Diagnostics, Corporate Health Checks, Pre-policy Insurance health checks, ECG, Vitals, Biological sample collections, Personalised Remote Care Monitoring, and Allied services in Decentralised Clinical trials.

Promiso enables an asset-light model of network expansion for clients and helps them improve home access across 56 cities with measurable and differentiated customer experience with end-to-end visibility of on-ground operations.

What are your expansion plans for the future?

Promiso has scaled its access from 0 to 56 cities covering 2500+ pin codes and 60 million households within one year.

We are looking to expand our coverage to 100+ cities and work on the client base increase across all sectors and geographies. We are maturing our tech stack, which includes innovative operations technology, remote monitoring and intelligent workflows for a great stakeholder experience. We strive to produce superior financial and health outcomes for the ecosystem

What challenges do the at-home diagnostic care face, and how are you taking up on those challenges to keep Promiso relevant?

The diagnostics process is antiquated in one-click shopping and on-demand/Insta-fulfilment everything. Customers expect faster services and transparency in the quality process, whereas businesses expect ease of integration with digital systems for managing complex operations.

Quality and patient safety are paramount for home diagnostics, and robust SOP’s and NABL guidelines must be included in digital workflows.

The three critical metrics for at-home diagnostics are Customer Experience -CSAT, Fulfilment rate and Turn Around time. The challenge is consistently delivering on these metrics with high-quality service, customer experience, and the correct cost.

Would you please elaborate on how Promiso is pioneering in helping its partner expand its business?

Promiso provides an asset-light model of network expansion. The B2B partners won’t have to invest in the capex or logistics for fulfillment across 50+ cities powered on digital workflows with live tracking. They can plan their entire expansion on-demand basis.

Would you please talk with data about the demand for your services and how they will evolve in the future?

The corporate health check market is ~3400+ Cr, growing at 15 percent year-on-year. Post pandemic, the demand for at-home health checks has increased, and companies are looking to provide faster access and digital delivery of quality reports to the consumers

The pre-policy medical check-up is growing and specifically expanding in tier 2 and 3 cities. The overall addressable market size is ~500+ cr, and with the shift towards home fulfillment, the demand from insurers is on the rise.

The remote monitoring and allied services for decentralized clinical trials and the life sciences sector are gaining significant momentum as the trend towards digital therapeutics increases.

What are some of your current focus areas?

Expanding and creating many digital demands points for At-home diagnostics. Product expansion into the pharma and life sciences sector.
