Advancing agritech innovation in India, Surat-based startup GROWiT has secured $3 million to enhance soil health, deliver next-generation farming solutions, and champion sustainable agriculture, a significant milestone for Indian startups expanding their impact across global markets.
The Surat-based agritech startup raised $3 million in Series A funding led by GVFL. The round also saw backing from Veloce Opportunities Fund, JITO, We Founder Circle, Sunicon Ventures Fund, Progrowth Ventures, and Hyderabad Angels. The investment will power GROWiT’s agritech innovation, expanding its footprint across India and scaling globally into Africa and emerging markets.
The company plans to deepen its research into soil health, develop innovative farming solutions, and refine its technology stack to support sustainable agriculture. With the Indian startup ecosystem increasingly shifting toward climate-resilient models, this move positions GROWiT well to shape the future of farming.
From Soil to Harvest: Scaling Practical Tech for Farmers
Founded in 2020 by Saurabh and Akshay Agarwal, GROWiT has focused on delivering complete farming solutions, from soil health to post-harvest needs. Its tools, such as mulch films, crop covers, and weed mats, aim to reduce costs and improve yields.
Its most recent launch, a low-cost soil health testing device, delivers crop-specific insights tailored to local conditions. This aligns with the rising global push for sustainable agriculture.
“We believe tech has to be accessible to transform Indian agriculture. With climate change disrupting traditional farming, our goal is to build resilience and boost yields through low-cost, high-impact innovations,” said Saurabh Agarwal.
Across 12 Indian states, GROWiT partners with over 650 franchise outlets and has served more than 225,000 farmers. Now, with this new funding, the team plans to expand its reach and strengthen product innovation in sync with the evolving needs of the sector.
GROWiT Powering the Agritech Ecosystem
As more Indian startups enter the agriculture space, the sector is seeing significant transformation. From AI-powered diagnostics to IoT-driven soil monitors, the competition is intense. Still, GROWiT’s agritech innovation strategy sets it apart. The startup combines grassroots access with data-driven insights—precisely what small farmers need in a rapidly changing climate.
This fresh funding also positions GROWiT to compete globally, especially in African markets that face similar agricultural constraints. Their focus on soil health, cost-effective tools, and digital adoption reflects a deep understanding of what drives sustainable agriculture forward.
The latest investment boost underscores growing investor confidence in agritech innovation. As traditional farming methods face constraints such as land fragmentation and soil degradation, innovative farming solutions like those from GROWiT become increasingly vital.
At a time when global agriculture demands both environmental responsibility and technological efficiency, GROWiT emerges as a beacon among Indian startups, advancing soil health and sustainability—innovation by innovation.
