The Coronavirus pandemic has raised questions about the security of populations worldwide from situations like these. It has also impacted the world like nothing else has before and may for some time. In light of this considerable impact on the economy of the world, corporations are pitching in to help. Aside from medical innovations, hundreds of companies are contributing to the effort to curb Coronavirus worldwide. 

India is one of the most prone nations to a massive coronavirus outbreak, thanks to its most vulnerable population. That is why many companies are coming together and even collaborating with the government to curb its spread. Here are some measures big and small being taken by companies against Coronavirus in India:

5 Corporate Entities Contributing To Curbing Coronavirus in India

1. Reliance

Reliance Industries is one of the most prominent corporate players in India. It has announced a 100-bed coronavirus treatment center at the Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Besides, it also gave INR 5 crore to Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Reliance has also given away 1,00,000 masks along with other essential protective equipment to emergency service personnel. In education, the company is offering free communication between classes and educators as well as free fuel and extended delivery hours. 

2. Hero Cycles

Even hough a lockdown essentially means a sharp sales dip for companies in the daily commute market, Hero Cycles has shown an opposite trend to conserving its finances. According to a recent release by the government, the company will be setting aside INR 100 crore to contribute to any escalated emergencies relating to Coronavirus in India. It is a bold move considering the company will have virtually no sales during the lockdown period and shows their sense of corporate responsibility. 

3. PayTM

PayTM is a prevalent name with anyone who uses smartphones to make their payments. The company is likely to be doing big business during the lockdown as customers pay online. Naturally, it wants to showcase its commitment to helping the public tackle Coronavirus in India. So, it has set aside an amount of INR 5 crore to pitch into the innovations against Coronavirus. It will help address the situation and help in promoting innovative ways to curb the disease’ spread.

4. Godrej

The Godrej group has made its contributions to the fight against Coronavirus in India. It has combined efforts with other names in the fast-moving consumer goods in the market. This coalition has together considerably dropped the price of soaps and hygiene products. It will go more than a few steps towards reducing the spread of the virus among common people.

5. SBI

SBI and a few other banks have also contributed to the fight against Coronavirus in India. SBI., in particular, has given 0.25 percent of its annual profit to the government for dealing with Coronavirus.

How Does the Corporate Action to Fight Coronavirus in India Reflect on It?

Coronavirus is a national concern, and corporate entities pitching in sets the right message to everyone. No doubt, aside from the money, the approach will help in improving attitudes and opinions against the situation and help in the combined national effort.
