Dare2Compete is an Indian startup helping thousands of students connect with businesses for internships. The owner of Dare2Compete, one of the best startups in India, Ankit Aggarwal, is helping students who lost their internships by connecting them with other companies.

Dare2Compete During COVID-19

Since the coronavirus pandemic, many students have lost their job, or they have been sitting at home. Ankit Aggarwal (owner of D2C) wanted to help students make the most of this valuable time. Dare2Compete, an Indian startup, aims to solve various problems faced by the community of students. This Delhi-based Indian startup wasn’t famous before COVID-19, but it got everyone’s attention during the pandemic. Currently, Dare2Compete is offering a recruitment platform to companies and students for free. It’s noted that Dare2Compete was able to provide placement close to 1,000 students during the first three weeks of the pandemic.

History of Dare2Compete

Back in 2016, Ankit Aggarwal formed an Indian startup called Dare2Compete as a go-to place for students to meet the needs during their academic journey. At that time, Ankit was completing his MBA from the Insitute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad.

The idea of Dare2Compete was to bring information about internships, jobs, quizzes, scholarships, cultural festivals, and other useful stuff for the student community in one plate. Ankit visioned an ecosystem where every student can make the most of the information to strive in the real-word market. As said by Ankit Aggarwal,

“We aim to cater to all the elements and needs of the ecosystem that comprises students, institutes, and companies as stakeholders.”

Watch one of his TedX talk below.

Purpose of Dare2Compete

This Indian startup assists communication between companies and the student community. Moreover, Dare2Compete helps companies hire the best talent available. It’s a startup where students connect with businesses.

As claimed by Ankit, D2C has over a million active registrations from more than 10,000 colleges, making it one of the best startups in India. Furthermore, this Indian startup has one of the largest student communities across platforms. The startup is connected with students from B-schools, engineering colleges, and other graduate schools. Some of the business icons that work with this Indian startup include Asian Paints, PepsiCo, Flipkart, and Reliance Industries.

It takes a lot to be one of the best startups in India. Let’s go back in time and see where it all started. After engineering, Ankit joined Sapient to begin his career. After that, he moved to Deloitte as a strategy consultant.

As a student, Ankit was always striving to learn about new competitions and events in the pool, but his busy schedule was keeping him at bay. He started to start a blog and jot down information from organizers in real-time. At that time, Ankit realized that he could build a new category around employer-branding and a platform for students. Nobody was doing the thing similar to Ankit.

Ankit Aggarwal converted his blog to proper business in 2016. Since then, D2C is one of the best startups in India.

D2C has been establishing itself as one of the best startups in India by helping students connect with businesses and firms. There’s no other player like D2C in the game, and that’s the advantage Ankit has been utilizing the best way possible.
